Pros and cons of OpenMaps Pro app for iPhone and iPad

OpenMaps Pro app good for

Very easy to use and quick. No bugs identified. Just some location and route missing but it is natural as map data are free. With automatic instruction change and vocal instruction for navigation I Will add the fifth star.
The dowload function for offline use is a killer feature. still there are some features missing which makes me rely on other apps (which sadly do not work in offline mode): - no tracking mode - no import or export either of created waypoints (so sad to lost them to iphone only) or future tracking (gpx) - import of offline maps from computer like gmapcatcher or Mobile Atlas creator - sharing of maps with other iphone app to avoid duplicating big data - lock zoom level
This app has the look and feel of the google maps app. I really like openstreetmap because their maps often show more objects than google does: e.g. cycling or hiking tracks etc. What I miss is a legend for the multiple OSM object tracks. And: how do I set pins to use the already included track feature? Please provide a howto! Go on developing this, Ive been looking for an OSM app for a long time!
It was delivered as an Update to my iTunes but could not be installed on my iPhone (oldes model, 3.1.3). At least the previous version survived the upgrade attempt. Otherwise a superb app.
Very nice App for editing OSM. Poorly it isnt working since the last update. Hopefully it will Be fixed very soon.
This App works great! Last week we had a hiking tour through the south of germany to the lake constance and we even found the smallest paths in the woods. We never got lost on our route. One thing would be a usefull addition: a graphical scale which shows you the current map scale to get an estimation of distances. Anywhere, 5 stars for the good work!

Some bad moments

This app is now blocked on OpenStreet Maps.... Even the paid version which I own... Too bad for a paid app... Very disappointed
This application is supposed to work offline but actually instead of downloading a vectored map it downloads tiles that you cant zoom in or zoom-out. If you try downloading all the tile corresponding a region it would use too much space on your device. Moreover you are discouraged to download tiles even for paid application
openmaps is a nice app to work with openstreetmaps. nice UI, everything is fine as long as you are online. Openstreetmaps contain more detail than google maps, at least in my trials. problems are following: offline map downloading is absolutely slow, unbearable, it only works with small towns. If you do it for a larger area, for me it is impossible. could take days. in order to download, you have to specify the zoom level. the amount of data depends on the the zoom level, that goes from a few MB to 200 or 3000 MB. It is absolutely unclear which level you need to view eg. street names or POI icons. online searching - if i search a location in my country(eg. germany), it always finds a similar name in the US and other countries and i get a display of the whole world map instead of the zoomed in location i am searching. i have to zoom in all manually. Google is much better on this point.
Download feature complicated, - download only at one level of detail at a time - area to download has to be chosen in "number of tiles". Would be nice to give an area in square kilometers street names of chinese cities not in Latin letters - thing western translations are available in open street map data
Permanently shows popups complaining that POI data cant be downloaded. Software quality very poor; should be pulled from the store.
Very bad apps. Not comparison with the ease and maps quality of Maps+. I paid 2.29$ plus 3,49$ for absolutely nothing.
